Our Archdeaconry Synod secretary has passed on an update from Judith Rigby, lay Synod representative from Tenerife North.
She says:   “as a ministry team we are visiting La Palma on Tuesday to pray with and listen to the community there. Still many tens of earthquakes each day and the sound of the volcano is going 24hours. It was described by one of them on Sunday as ranging from a coffee pot coming to the boil to a fighter jet taking off. It´s tough for them all. A number of the congregation have lost homes and livelihoods. Few are left on the island. We are going to support those who are.”

 We are asked to hold in our prayers the people of La Palma, especially those who are part of our Archdeaconry family, and pray also for the ministry team of Tenerife North as they travel there to offer comfort and support.
